The wife opted for an older Bel Ami video tonight, in VHS no less. Still, the quality wasn’t bad, bit worn but that is the tape, not the film itself. I have to say, Bel Ami gives you value, a 120 minute video and we paid only $6 for it.

Which brings me to something I noticed when getting things set up for this review. That is the damn price that Sureflixxx is charging for its Video on Demand options. I mean, yes it is convenient as hell to simply point and click. Maybe you don’t have a cool X Rated Video Store like we do up here, though I am sure you do.

The whole concept, least as it used to be, was that you could avoid the hassle of driving, of having to return the DVD or VHS to the store. You didn’t need to make two trips out, plus the selection in most of these outlets aren’t what one would call stellar.

But $21 for that convenience? (granted it is for 5 days)

You can ‘Rent Teamplay’ if you want. Hell I get a commission, about $4 based on the full video rental. You also can choose to rent selected scenes from the video for a lot less. From $5.89 all the way up to $6.78. You get to rent the scene for 5 full days though. So I guess that is okay.

There is a 2 hour option too, if you are renting by the scene. The prices are from $3.69 to $4.89 and the full movie rental for 24 hours is only $13.98. That is a bit better, but hell we rented it for $6 and that’s for 3 days, no late fees.

Of course you can ‘Buy Teamplay’ from TLA for about $49.99 right now. So I suppose it depends, pay $21 to rent it, or buy it for $50.

For myself, I would pass on the five day rental. Not sure I’d even opt for the 24 hour option, but it is Bel Ami. Odd isn’t it, to have me say that, but damn it, that is a steep price for a movie rental. I just don’t understand the porn market these days. I mean with Blockbuster $1 days, and others, you really have to wonder what is going on.

Anyways, rant over, down to the movie itself.

The wife enjoyed it, must have as he jerked off a couple of times to it, even before the last scene was playing out. And that is perhaps a problem with Bel Ami Videos. They give you too much, so that it can become a bit boring. Though I suppose if you are having sex, have the video playing, it sort of can be just about right. Guess it depends on how much foreplay you into.

As usual, Bel Ami does a hell of a good job in showing you the action. The cock shots are great, and there is one penetration shot that was absolutely perfect. The way the camera was set up, the view, and the slow hard penetration was unbelievable.

Scene 1 had some fun to it. I like humor in my videos, and this had some. You can see that the Models are not just doing a job, but are having fun at it. I like that, as it makes it all seem a bit more real, a bit more enjoyable for me.

You believe the expressions you see, which Bel Ami makes certain you do see. In between cock sword fights in Scene 1, and teasing in Scene 8, the fun was evident. Then too, the shower scenes and the wet underwear stingers were all part of making for a great bit of sex entertainment.

There is sort of a theme to the video.

Supposedly it is about a swim team, and the fun they have together, including a very interesting birthday party for Ion Davidov.

Scene 1 and 8 are the longer of the scenes. I like them because in both, there is a bit more foreplay, which frankly I rather enjoy.

Scene 1 to 3 deal more in the swimming pool, and there are some rather hot shower scenes in them all. I love how they soap each other’s bodies, and how they laugh, and play with each other. You don’t see that in most North American Videos. Bel Ami is known for it.

I loved the horseplay among the models. The wet underwear scene (#3) was not only funny, but arousing too. Least it got the wife stroking his dick a bit harder.

Scenes 4 to 8 deal with a Birthday Party. Now I am not sure for who, but Bel Ami used it to its fullest value. They used cutting from the Party to individual sex scenes between some who slipped away for their own private sex party. It was well done, on all scores.

Most of the scenes were short, but they had some great photography. Many were in small rooms, or closed off rooms, that added to the theme of it being at some private party in a business. Found it quite good actually, and the background of the party music was not over powering either. And that was nice.

Scene 8 might be the best to rent, because you also get the behind the scenes actions. Models being prepared for their filming, hair combing and all that stuff. Rather a nice added touch to the end of a video.

My biggest bitch, is that there wasn’t any subtitles for the conversations. I really wanted to hear, or read, what the two models were saying. I mean they were laughing, talking and it would have been perfect to know what they were saying.

Obviously they could, as the back scene stuff had sub titles. So I am not sure why they didn’t do it for the video itself, other than maybe cost or that this isn’t a recent video. I notice they do it for the newer stuff, maybe in a re-release they will.

It is a good video. Not sure I’d rent it from Sureflixxx, but the 24 hour rental or 2 hour scene rentals are rather reasonable, compared to the 5 day option. As to being reasonable to renting from a Video Store, well I couldn’t say. Ours was cheaper, but then we did have to go out and get it, and have to return it as well. So I guess it is up to you to decide if that is worth an extra $7 or not.

This is a different Bel Ami movie. At first I wasn’t too sure about it, but then the wife blew his load right at the end of the first scene. That certainly was an indication of what he thought about the movie. I have to agree. The more we watched, the more I enjoyed this new vein, or style.

To begin with, this is not just some wild sex thrown together. It has a bit of a story to it, though not much. It does have a good theme to it though, that fits a porn movie. And it has the Bel Ami stable of stars, like Marc Vidal, Tim Hamilton, Ethan Clarke, and more. It was filmed by Sebastian Bonnet and yes, he does take part in some of the scenes.

What I most enjoyed in the video, other than well photographed cocks, the asses, and the hard fucking, is the fun they all had together. It didn’t matter which scene you watched, they were talking, having fun, and smiling. Jokes were flying around, and yes it was subtitled, but you got the humor. Something you really do not see much of, if any, in North American productions.

Bel Ami does things differently, and there is one scene where the wife and I were laughing silly. It was a perfect little bit of humor that just hit perfect. There were other good laughs throughout the DVD as well, which made watching this 165 minute long video worth it.

Yes, lots of sex, some of the ‘trainees’ weren’t what I’d call hot looking, nor were they all true twinks. I mean most were 23 or 24 years old, but they had fun and had nice looking penises. In addition, they had fun. That’s what makes this DVD special.

The sex was not all standard, suck, fuck and cum. There was some dildo play as well, and one scene, the condom use was an absolute riot. It was well done, well set up. I liked the horseplay with the dildo’s too. It was different, and special really. Not all scenes had it, nor did all scenes have the condoms shown being put on. Those that did, were enjoyable, not boring.

The whole theme was well followed in every single scene, and the camaraderie among the stars was clearly evident. Yes, this is a good DVD to own, or if you can find it at your local video store, a great rental. I’d watch it more than once, least selected scenes, simply for the fun, not just the sex.

Bel Ami Boys are good looking, well endowed, and they know how to use what they have. They were interesting to watch, as they showed the rookies how to perform, the little tricks of the trade that made the whole theme come off. It wasn’t just an excuse for sucking cock, or fucking. It was well filmed too, typical of Bel Ami.

I am cheap, so would I buy this DVD?

No, I don’t think I would, because simply I am not really all that turned on by porn. Now the wife, that is a different story. Yes, I think he would, because he likes whacking off to Bel Ami studs shooting their loads. And this video has lots of that.

Now would I rent this video again?

Yes, I would actually. I mean I am too cheap to buy the thing, but yeah I’d spend another $10 or so to rent the video a second time, not right away, but at some future time, yes I would. I liked it, it was fun, and yes it was also rather exciting.

That says a lot, considering how jaded I am to porn.

I suppose one of the things people are always wondering, is how do these studios get its models, actors? What are the auditions like and all that stuff. Well Bel Ami had answered that burning question with its 101 Men series.

This video is subtitled thankfully. I mean while it is sometimes rather quick or you are distracted by the naked model wannabee, it helps to know what they are laughing at.

There is no plot and I suppose the theme is simply all these hot young European males coming to audition to becoming Bel Ami Boys. The action is very business like, for the most part.

There are questions asked and answered, though nothing you could really sink your teeth into. Still it is nice to hear them speak, to see them smile. Not all scenes do it either, which is okay as it does break up the routine.

While it is about sex, you do get a glimpse inside. I mean you can see the nervousness at times, the hesitation even. The directions given help point that out as well.

Typical Bel Ami production too. The camera angles and close ups are good, varied and you don’t get bored. The cum shots aren’t always that good, but that is also partially due to the models themselves. Still they are considerably better than many of the North American stuff out there.

It can be tedious as well. I mean this is one reason why I prefer movies that have themes at least. Plot now and then would be nice too, though it seems that’s a rarity. Bel Ami tries to break it up with slight alterations of the sets or color schemes. They also try for slight variations in the action or how we get to see it.

One of the reasons for watching these type of Videos is to see the current crop of Bel Ami Boys before they were selected. There is some interesting differences from then to now. Course the other reason is to simply get off, without the needed build up.

In all honesty, that is exactly what this video is. There really isn’t much of a build up, they stand up, strip and show off their attributes and then ejaculate. While that is a standard formula in porn, somehow Bel Ami makes it all seem just that much more classy, that much more entertaining.

I won’t say I was moved to strip and get it on with the wife, but I will say I did appreciate seeing many of the young males that were showcased. Made me wonder why some weren’t picked, and others were. It did get me curious but frankly it was a long video that did have its appeal wane towards the end.

I mean just how many long hard cocks can you stare at? This is a video that I would recommend being watched over time. I don’t think you get a good impact from just sitting down and watching the entire video. Might be more entertaining, and more arousing if you watched parts of it at different times.
