If you listen to the likes of George W. Bush and the other Religious Rights, safer sex is not having sex. However, in the real world, safer sex means using protection, such as condoms, Dental Dams.
While abstinence is the only 100% Sure Fire way to not get any STD’s, or get someone pregnant (I want to be your agent if that happens) there are ways to mitigate the risks.
Using condoms is one major way to insure that you lessen the risk of STD’s and other diseases, such as AIDS. (HIV – AID resource sites)
Fact is, condoms can break, or be improperly applied, but without a condom you have a 100% chance of contracting something nasty.
