After watching XL 3, (see our Review) we needed to have our confidence restored in Bel Ami, which is why we chose Pretty Boy. Seriously, the both of us enjoy Bel Ami a lot, and you get a little shaken when you find a dud among all the good stuff. Dave loves his porn, and I love watching Dave enjoy his porn.

I selected the movie, simply because I enjoy watching Josh Elliot. There is something about his look, his face, that always gives me a bit of a thrill. I am not all that enamored by porn, but watching Josh, well it seems to break through the jaded feelings I have. Now David on the other hand, he isn’t what I’d call a person taken by the stars, as he is by their penises and how many good shots he can see of it.

Pretty Boy filled that bill just nicely, for us both. I got to have a bit of a storyline in the video, and David got his fill of great cock shots, super cum shots, and some damn hot ass action, including a hot rimming scene with Josh Elliot and Matt Phillipe. It is what makes Bel Ami special, in my mind. The way they do have a loose story theme and how they manage to carry it through the entire video sequence.

This one, has to be about one of the best I have seen too. Maybe I am biased, or was just needing it to be great. Not really sure, but I know this, it sure as hell got us both rather horny, and that is what a porn video should do. Course, we have company this month, so poor David, he had to stay dressed while watching, which in itself was rather amusing to watch. Is it an act?

Maybe, but I don’t know if anyone can fake that much enjoyment. A consummate actor could, perhaps, but who cares? All I know is he looks like he is really into the action, and not just sucking or fucking. The way he is constantly moving, touching, kissing, it just comes across as being like how one would act, when totally into the other guy. It doesn’t seem forced in anyway, but natural, which only enhances the action, least in my view.

Then there is the subtitled dialogue as well. I hate most of the conversations models have while having sex. It comes across as not just faked, but unreal. Yet, even with the subtitles, the words here seem totally natural. It doesn’t come across as something added out of the need to have words either. It is more like exactly what two guys would say to each other, while having intimate sex. The words are translated, but you know, it makes sense, and comes at points in the action, that well, seem natural.

There isn’t a lot of it, but when it does happen, it is great. It adds a sense of familiarity that you don’t see in many porn flicks. It draws you in too, and frankly, it makes the sex seem wilder, more natural. You just don’t think you are watching a video, but spying on the guys doing it.

There is also the set and photography that blew me away. There isn’t anything cheap about Bel Ami. The sets are well done, the locations are intermingled perfectly with the action. Sure there are some parts where you can tell it was spliced in, but only if you look real close. If you are jerking off, you aren’t going to notice. There is one close up shot of Josh’s penis, that was unbelievable. It was so close, so crisp and clear, that it was almost like you could reach out and touch it.

Which would have been nice.

This video clicked for me on all levels. It had a story, great acting actually, and I still can’t get over the way Josh Elliot looked. His eyes, his expressions, and how they were so perfectly shown, just at the right moment. There wasn’t anyone leaning back looking like they were going to fall asleep. You could see how much they were into each other, how much they enjoyed the sex too.

We rented this Video from our local store, but it is available in my Pay Per View theatre, here. You can also own this video from my DVD Store, if interested. I know our guest is also a Bel Ami fan, and he’s thinking of adding this one to his library. But whether you buy it or rent it, I think if you like twinks, enjoy lots of cum, then Pretty Boy is one you should at least think about renting.

David and I have seen a fair amount of movies, including Bel Ami, and you know, in all honesty, I have to say that so far this one is at the top of our list. It is refreshing to watch, and if our guest wasn’t here, the wife says it would have been at least a double if not triple cum shoot for him. Now that is impressive, given how the last flick barely got him wanting to jerk off.

Speaking of cum, the last scene with Josh and Matt, was unreal. The cum shots were unreal, and so clear, so crisp and damn explosive, that it was a trembler. If all you want in a movie, is to see guys stripping, jerking their cocks while watching a video, then XL is a good movie for you to rent.

There are lots of youngish looking men in this flick, some are interviewed, some aren’t. They all have long uncut dicks and the editing is okay, as you get to see them jerk off. The cum shots are not bad, and that is the sum of the whole video.

There is nothing else, it is just guys who applied to Bel Ami who had big dicks, jerking off as an audition. Some were asked questions, all subtitled of course, and that is it.

One of Bel Ami’s best? Not by any long shot. I wasn’t enamored by the models, though I will say one or two weren’t nice to look at. There was simply nothing to it, other than good cock shots, very nice cum shots, and it ends there.

Basically it is simply a collection of audition footage, for those who really didn’t get beyond the basic criteria of having a nice cock. For some that might be enough, for some studio’s that might be enough to hire them, but for this video, well, it was flat.

Both David and myself enjoy Bel Ami. This one wasn’t what I’d call a true Bel Ami video, as there just wasn’t the connection. It was flat, boring even as the models weren’t our ideal Bel Ami twinks.

There is a whole series of these flicks, and frankly it is something we’d rent perhaps just to see who didn’t make it to the next stage of auditions for Bel Ami. For jerking off, I don’t even think the wife would consider this a great choice.

So if your tastes are like ours, save the cash. On the other hand, just want to whack off to others pulling their dick, or to good shots of cum, then hey I suppose it could do the trick.

This is a different video actually. It starts off okay, goes downhill, then picks back up and ends okay too. So, I guess I am a little surprised by that, because lately the wife has been picking out some really crappy videos to watch. Hell, was starting to feel so disillusioned, that was thinking of canceling our Friday Night video affair, but this one at least is going to keep it happening for another week or two.

It is hard to explain, but the dialog sucks at times, then at others times, it is okay. The shots go from really good, to really bad, but at least in this one, it is more of good camera shots, than bad. Angles and all, seem to be a bit more professionally done, than many of the others we have watched.

One of the things that sort of pissed me off, was the spitting. Man talk about loud, and often. I don’t know, just didn’t exactly make me horny to see some guy spitting from a distance down, to either a cock or another’s asshole. The wife didn’t mind it too much, but it was done so poorly. I mean, okay maybe not poorly, but just sort of gross really.

In all honesty, there was also a bit of a plot to the whole thing, which sort of came off. I suppose it is too much to expect in porn films to actually have a real plot, or story line, that is followed, but hell I can dream, right?

While it wasn’t spectacular, it was enough to get the wife to shoot his load. He sort of had to struggle during the second scene, but if you fast forward through that one, the rest really aren’t bad. A collection of short contrived sex scenes, that should have been left on the cutting room floor. Seriously, there isn’t much to rant about after watching this boring, poorly edited masterpiece from Jet Set.

You know, it makes sense now why Video on Demand sales sometimes really tank. Given how many movies are out there, and how few are worth watching at times, it has to be a friggin nightmare for a viewer.

We paid good money to the local store, and in return we got, maybe a nickels worth of entertainment. So yeah, I feel ripped off, but then in looking back at some of the other duds we have seen, well, this isn’t better, or any worse I suppose.

Hell some of the guys weren’t totally unattractive, though none seemed to be able to act worth shit. The sound, the camera angles had its moments, but they weren’t consistent. I mean if you want to see cock, let’s not cover it up with a fist, or start jerking the camera around.

There were moments, as I said, but the music, the dialog, was to say the least annoying. The various angles were more hit an miss than anything. Mostly miss though.

In addition, some of the way they moved from scene to scene, within a scene, or clip, was to say the least, choppy. Then we have our favourite parts, the sex sounds. I mean holy mother of, let me say that it would be nice if they were at least in sync, and even then I don’t know if I’d say they were real. Some sounded okay, but you know, it went on and on forever. It was certainly not getting me aroused, nor did it do much for the wife.

In fact, thinking about it, the wife didn’t cum. He pulled the pants up after I think the opening credits. Okay, no not that bad, but was in the second scene or there about. Now you know, that isn’t good. The guy is a horn dog, but if this can’t get him pumping, it sure as hell won’t get you going.

Studio : Bel Ami

Not a hit and miss studio, Bel Ami seems to consistently deliver some quality gay porn. Unlike a lot of studios, there is some story theme to many of their Videos. It isn’t what I’d really call a story plot, but more of a theme.

Such as this one. It is really a theme of several Bel Ami hunks down in Africa. Yes, they do show some of the scenery, in fact a fair amount actually. What I really enjoy though is the way they set it up, the horseplay that these actors have among themselves, whether in a market or at the zoo.

It gives you a better rapport, almost as if you are in the room with your best friend, making out and over on the other side is another of your friends, doing it. You stop to watch, enjoying the sex a bit more, because you see them laugh, see them play. It gives you a better connection, and in my opinion, makes for better sex.

This video is one of those. If you took the sex out, it would be an interesting travel movie, of some guys off on holiday in Africa. The action at the zoo is unreal, makes me want to see parts 2 and 3.

Odd I know, where it isn’t the sex or the natural beauty of the male actors that makes you want to see the next parts, but the fully dressed scenes. Okay, so we are weird, but it’s the mood that is set, and followed through in the actual sex scenes too. The carefree wild sex, the playing, all makes it all the more enjoyable.

The subtitles help, and it is nice to read what they are saying, simply because they look like they are having fun. It’s a romp, a good choice for a night when you want to just enjoy the carefree lifestyle, that twink videos should showcase. Bel Ami has done it with this one, and hey, the wife enjoyed it to the point where he jerked off three times.

Yes, we stopped the movie in spots, horsed around ourselves, had some snacks, but you know, that is what makes movie night fun. To not just be glued to the set watching, but to take a break, have a bite or two, not always food food either. Hey, what can I say, but it got me in the mood.
